BioHey, my name is Candace. I'm about 23 years old, and a recent graduate of Rutgers University :) New Brunswick, Douglass College. Holla~ I just finished my Bachelors in English. But let me make one thing clear, I'm no book snob or grammar police woman. I enjoy good books, but don't try to start conversations with me that resemble anything like "Can you tell me what the pluperfect tense is?" or "Oh, so you must like Jane Austin, right?" That's a big no-no. You'll also find that while I am female, I like to consider myself one of the guys. That being said, vulgarness, sexism, and pigheadery will not be tollerated. Neither will excessive compliments like "You're so beautiful" or "You're so talented" or "You're so thin" or "Hey ma, what's good?"
You can probably tell from my interests that I like art a great deal. I love museums, galleries, First Fridays, poetry, textiles, etc. Two of my principle applications of my love for art manifest themselves through my 2D artwork in the Elfwood Gallery, and my 3D artwork (costumes, textiles, masks, fursuits, quilts, etc). I unfortunately don't have a lot of time lately. I'm trying to get started in my new career, so I've had to put all of my art related endeavours on hold. I don't even get to update my gallery as much as I used to. But when I get a chance, I'll find a place to consolidate all of my artwork for easy referencing ^^;
Speaking of referencing, I'm considering taking the path of library sciences in graduate school. I am also considering K-12 education. I haven't done much research into it yet. Right now I'm sort of testing the waters. In the mean time, I'm trying to find a suitable career in publishing.
And... I like cats, lol.
